Turn your smartphone into a pocket guide to the Cleveland Museum of Art with the ArtLens App. Use it as a companion within the museum, or as a way to explore from home. Download before arriving, plan your visit, and create or browse tours. While visiting, use the interactive map as a guide to navigate the museum, and keep track of your favorite artworks and gain in-depth information about every object on view. The ArtLens App uses Bluetooth technology to connect to the museum’s iconic ArtLens Wall and ArtLens Exhibition interactives, and updates in real-time ensuring that users have access to the most accurate information available.

The ArtLens App features five main categories:

1. Search
   • Discover works by artist name, artwork title, and accession number from the CMA's collection on view in the museum. Access "Recent Acquisitions," "Collection Highlights," and "Top Ten Visitor Favorites."
2. Galleries
   • Scan: Utilize image-recognition software to access additional curatorial and interpretive content for select two-dimensional artworks identified by the scan icon.
   • Map: Color-coded galleries grouped thematically for easier navigation. Obtain detailed gallery descriptions and explore all artworks within each gallery.
   • Wayfinding: Locate your precise position in the museum with the "Find Me" feature.
   • Content: Access over 1,500 videos for selected artworks on view; real-time updates ensure accuracy.
   • Nearby Artworks: Explore visitor-favorite and featured artworks conveniently.
   • Bluetooth: Seamlessly sync with ArtLens Wall and all interactives in ArtLens Exhibition using Bluetooth technology.
     
3. Tours
   • Choose from various tour types such as "Featured," "Multimedia," "Themed," and Visitor-Created tours. Interactive mapping facilitates locating specific artworks and navigating entire tours.
   • Create personalized tours from home, share them with others, or explore existing options.
4. You
   • All favorited artworks are stored in this section automatically, allowing for the creation of personalized tours, easy access to specific artworks, or sharing on social media.
5. Museum
   • Stay informed about daily events, special exhibitions, restroom and restaurant locations, and museum exits. Operating hours are also detailed for convenience.
